COPAN NewLab: NewLab Engineering is dedicated to designing and manufacturing customized automation equipment for biomedical companies, crime laboratories and forensic companies. The Card Processing Automation (CPA200™ and CPA300™) technology, developed by NewLab Engineering, is used by forensic, paternity, crime and research laboratories to prepare DNA samples for human identification. COPAN Wasp® provides laboratory automation systems for sample processing in the Microbiology laboratory. COPAN’s Wasp®, Walk-Away Specimen Processor™, is a comprehensive system encompassing all aspects of automated specimen processing, planting and streaking, Gram slide preparation, enrichment broth inoculation and dispensing of antibiotic disks for Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing. COPAN Wasp® also manufactures WASPLab®. WASPLab®, a sophisticated barcode driven Microbiology specimen processor and work-up system, connects with WASP® using a conveyor track. WASPLab® moves samples from front end processing to full specimen management, automated incubation and digital Microbiology.
