Journal of Clinical Microbiology 2021 – Greenblatt MR et al.

We demonstrated that high-titer severe acute respiratory virus syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) lysate placed into eNAT® medium cannot be propagated in cell culture, supporting viral inactivation.

Journal of Clinical Microbiology 2021 – Greenblatt MR et al.

Although viral inactivation is not mandated for POC testing, eNAT® can minimize operational requirements needed, ultimately improving workflow and safety for COVID-19 molecular diagnostics at POC.

Viruses 2020 – Van Bockel D. et al.

Our findings provide strong evidence that COPAN eNAT® eliminated SARS-CoV-2 infectivity at very high concentration and within 2 min while conserving the integrity of the viral nucleic acid for RT-PCR testing.

Nature Protocols 2006 – Chomczynski P. et al.

This medium contains a protein denaturant (guanidine thiocyanate) that completely inactivates microorganisms, does not require special shipping precautions, and is marketed as being able to stabilize DNA at room temperature for up to 4 weeks.

Microbiology Open 2020 – Young RR et al.

Our results indicate that eNAT® has several properties that make it a suitable medium for gut microbiome studies. Also, eNAT® has a higher flash point than solutions containing high concentrations of ethanol and can be shipped without specific safety or temperature considerations.
